  • My mentor, Daniel, has been in all fields of marketing from graphic designing to directing big projects for Sony, Disney, Old Navy, Victoria Secret, Bath & Body works, and many well known movies. He is Very familiar with the apparel and entertainment industry of marketing allowing him to pass on his knowlege onto me. He was previously a professor at an art vocational school in Los Angeles teaching them graphic design and basic programs such as photoshop and Adobe.
3. List three questions for further exploration now that you've completed your summer hours.
  •  How important are style guides to a given project by a company?
  • Is it important to stay within the budget even if the outcome may be better going over the budget itself?
  • Does communication play a bigger part in this industry or skill set?
4. What is the most important thing you gained from this experience? Why?
  • The most important aspect of my senior topic is how well you can conduct a given project in a certain time frame when your given such little direction.
5. What is your senior project topic going to be? How did mentorship help you make your decision? Please explain.
  • My senior project is going to be on Marketing in general. I am learning the ropes to marketing in apparel and in the entertainment industry allowing me to have a higher skill set when Im put to the test. I find it extremely crucial to know how to communicate well with others and to accept any advice given. Its a field of work where everything you do will be critiqued down to its core until its perfect.  My mentor is an inspiration and always has been as growing child. He always amazed me with the work he did. My mentorship with Mr. Nakama was really eyeopening and made me realize its something I would be more then satisfied doing as a career.
